I checked out the Gander website sales and saw they're doing the 100rds of federal 223 55gr FMJ for $30, which means $300 per 1000. This seems to be a pretty good deal to me, but it also tells me that if Gander Mountain of all people is having a good deal then someone else is probably going to be offering an even better deal on the same thing.

What's the best deal on brass cased 223 ammo that you've seen these days?

:dunno: I've had the Federal 900rds on stripper clips for 279.95 at the 1500 and other gun shows all summer/fall and people looked at me like I was an criminal for charging that. I think we sold 1 case of it at the 1500.

How much would shipping be to the Indy area? I'd rather buy from an INGO supporter or if possible than some anonymous seller on the web.

If I didn't have so much stuff I was already buying at the last 1500 I would of bought a case. But I plan on getting some in the future.

cheapest ive seen for domestic is the ae223 tactical, its good stuff. ive shot about 300 rounds of it, got it from gm for 100rds/$32.37 includind tax. no misfires or jams. accuracy is on point, i like it better than the xm193.

I haven't been following non ferrous metal prices lately, (Copper, Brass, and Lead), but I suspect they've dropped some in the last year. I base that on lead shot prices dropping from almost $50.00 a bag last year to around $30.00 now. That, along with "Hussein fever" dying out since the election, the demand for ammo seems to be subsiding somewhat. Also with the horrible economy, along with the sweeping Republican victories in this last election, we just might see prices even lower. I live just 2 miles from the Glendale, Arizona Cabela's, and I've never seen them so stocked with guns and ammo. They literally have pallet loads of it in the isles. Bill T.
