I had a job interview that afternoon. I was sitting in the living room watching TV when the first plane hit. I hung out for a bit and watched the second plane hit, and was absolutely enraged. I had a couple friends with Cantor Fitzgerald.
Then I watched the buildings fall, and knew in my heart that my friends were dead. This was when I called and rescheduled the interview.
Then I got to watch the celebrations around the world, as tens of thousands danced in the streets celebrating the deaths of my friends and countrymen. There are not sufficient words in the English language to relay the amount of hatred, loathing and anger I felt towards the entire Middle East and all of Persia when I saw those videos.
Those feelings remain entirely unabated to this day.
