Well the first one I actually bought myself was a nickle plated,1934 Colt Banker's Spl. with a 2" Bbl in .38 S&W Spl. The year I bought it was 1978 and I paid $80.00. Had it stolen out of my truck 1 yr. later. I got it back a couple of months after that and the thief went to jail.

Technically, my great uncle's .38 S&W was my first pistol. I don't think he ever fired it, and I haven't yet either. Maybe I will one of these days.

As for things I've purchased myself, my Para G.I. Expert was my first. And boy do I love it!

Ruger single six. I saved all summer bailing hay and from my paper route and detasling corn to buy it. My dad signed for it since I was only 13 and I still have it today. Wow! thats been almost 30 years. Thanks Dad!

2nd Gen Sigma 9.....it was the best pistol I could afford. I still have it and to tell you the truth, I'll never get rid of it. I think I paid $280 for it in 2004. I have since put several thousand rounds through the thing with only a couple of FTE's during break-in....no FTF's. I'll tell you one thing, getting used to that trigger pull made every pistol after that (excluding DAO mousers) feel like a dream!
