I think you mean M1911, the M1911A1's production began in Jan. 1924.

3 screw, 44 mag SBH.
It was 26 yrs old when it was given to me. Only thing wrong with it, was the finish wore down from being put in a belt holster.
Is worth more than all the gold in the world to me.

The first gun I owned was a ruger P89. I got rid of that one long ago but have been thinking about it here lately so found another one here on INGO. Me and the wife went and fired it yesterday at the range. It is a great gun.
