It was stainless with the vented heavy barrel and I put a pachmyer (sp?) grip on it. Don't have it anymore. Just to show how society has changed since 1983, I bought the gun through the police department range officer in Gulfport Mississippi. He wanted more folks using the range so he would order any firearm you wanted out of Shotgun News. He had an FFL and you paid what he paid, no transfer fee. I got the DW for $250.00. Find someone like that these days!
