My first was inherited from my father, a H&R Sportsman 6" breakopen , 9 shot .22. Shot that tons as a teen.
The first one a bought was a Colt.45 Government model. Couldn't hit a barn with it, if I was inside it.
CZ 75 B, which I purchased in a bit of haste since I couldn't find a compact. I still love the thing. One of the smoothest shooters I've ever owned. I stand by my statement proclaiming it as perhaps the perfect modern handgun.
on my 21st BD I went to my LGS and bought myself a Star B 9mm and since it was my BD the guy threw in a box of ammo and showed me how to clean it when I was finished shooting it. Was a small town and I was a regulate there buying long guns so he took good care of me. He's gone now though, was a good man.
