it has never happened to me and i hope it never does. i keep a mossberg persuader with a pistol grip next to my bed as my go to home defense weapon. i would hate to wake up and have that next to me as my snuggle buddy.

Some years back a guy shot his wife when she ran up to the bedroom after a run and forgot to turn off the house alarm. Her husband shot her as she came through the bedroom door. He claims he was woken up out of a deep sleep by the alarm. She died. Because of hearing that I have always dun something to hamper getting to my gun while I am a sleep. At this time I use the trigger guard with the string on it to cover the trigger of my Glock 36. Some people can't get them off very easy wide awake. I can't see puling that thing off while sleeping.
