This has likely been covered, but I'm curious what light y'all EDC. for me it's a surefire G2Z with an E2 defender in my GHB. I've been working with a first light liberator (cool light) but it's a bit much for concealed carry.
I carry the Surefire E2D also, but I am going to move toward the Surefire G2 LED soon since the E2D tears the heck out of my clothes, and I'm not really sold on the whole Strike Bezel thing.
Oh I also have a Surefire C2 Centurion here for home use.
Inova X1. I carry it in a AA MagLite pouch on my belt, and then tuck that into my back left pocket. Inexpensive, good output and battery life, and rugged.
This picture isn't up to date, but this was my EDC. I have an MTAC on the way, and have since changed my mag carrier.
Chose the one that uses AA over the one that uses 123A batteries due to the fact that they are a lot more common, and in a shtf situation will be far more attainable.
Otherwise I have a Lumapower single AA light I carry every day in my laptop bag. I am looking for a new 1xAA light now that will do better than my current 60 lumens or so. Maybe another Fenix, I sure do like it. I also plan on getting a TK10 from Fenix at some point unless they release another new one before I get it.
for work i carry a surefire g2z with some ebay bought strike bezel. i had found re-chargeable cr123's but they were only like 600 mha so i would get like 10 minutes of constant use.
I always have a surefire e1e in my pocket. As small as a bic lighter with as much light as a 2D Maglight. For tac carry I have C2 on my vest and a M900A on my M4.
If you can find some place that carries PILA flashlights they make 1000mAh and 1500mAh Li-ion rechargeable batteries. Make sure when you order you get the S mdels and not the P models.
I took them to Iraq and back. Generally the runtime is longer than the CR123 were. I'll give them two thumbs up. The only thing is that the output is 90% of the rated lumens.
