When I carried a G30(.45acp) my ammo of choice was Speer 185gr GDHP.

Since I have gone back to my G17 for my carry needs, I load it up with 147gr. TAP. I also run this in my Keltec PF9.

Craig you know TAP is the same as Hornady XTP- look at the two boxes together next time you are out. At least at Cabela's, the 20 round boxes are labeled with muzzly energy, 50ft (?) energy and muzzle velocity. $4 a difference in a 20 round box, same bullet, none of the data is different either. Black nickel cases are pretty though! ;)

Well since I changed my potential carry weapon to a .40 I'm carrying 180gr Gold Dots in it now, but considering changing that out to the Federal HSTs in 180gr also. Just need to try em out.

Ri22o and I shot some 9mm 147gr HST over the weekend. It gets a bunch of these  from him and me. We shot some phonebooks and recovered the rounds. They look identical to every picture I've seen on the net.

When I get a chance I'll get some pictures posted up.

Yeah I keep hearing that the HST's expansion is really consistent. I just need to find some 180gr ammo! Midwest only carries the 165gr I believe but I prefer a heavier bullet weight so I'll keep looking.

I have my USP loaded with the 200gr +p Hornady HTX
I put 200 of them through the pistol with no problems. The 200gr +p shoot fairly similarly to the 230gr standard rounds.

I can't say enough good things about Corbon DPX!

...with Pow'R Ball running a close second.
