What is used to seal primers?

Ive seen some cartriges with a red stain/ink like coating on them on the
primer. I assume this seals them from moisture.

What is it and can I get some?

I have heard of people using nail polish as well. Should be easy to sort your brass from that of others if you go that route.

If you have a loose primer pocket would sealant be a good way to keep the primer in or would there be a safety problem with that?

I think if I had a loose pocket, I'd just toss that brass. No use taking a chance.
