What is the difference between the Sig P220 dark elite and the P220 sas?

Is the sas the same gun with smoother edges and no rail?

Dark elite has beavertail, adjustable combat night sights, aluminum grips, SRT trigger, rail.

SAS is in the carry model, so smaller frame. Sig night sights, SRT and short trigger, melt treatment, no rail. Built in the custom shop.

Thanks! I tried comparing them on the site. I figured the sights difference was negligible. Tough choice!

Just depends on what you will be doing with the gun. The SAS would be much better for carry. The elite would be better for the range or "competitions".

I have the Platinum Elite P229

I use it in shooting competition shooting.

Lots of rounds down range and it's still dead on.

I went with the p220 sas carry. A very nice firearm!
