    well the 1911 has been around for a 100 years and been a service pistol the entire time, the glock is a good pistol also but with pics like that i know how you truly feel :ar15:

    Thats too bad, I was hoping to perpetuate this myth, to possibly lower the demand (and cost) for those of us with better taste in handguns. If we can get enough people spreading this, a used Springfield TRP might drop into the relm of my budget.

    Folks honestly I meant this in fun. Yes I just got rid of my Kimber as I am layed off and needed some extra money........... otherwise I would still have it. It was a beautiful pistol and hopefully one of these days I can replace it with another good one ;)

    My brother has a glock, I own a 1911. Way more accurate and way less recoil (duh) with the 1911. I don't think I'm a fan of polymers or any lightweight pistols. But I also have alot more to experience.
