Very nice job. I usually like them left original , but that is pretty cool. M44's are harder to find around here also.

I tried to retain the military look, shortened the handguard, cut and rethreaded the cleaning rod etc. Maybe I should figure out a way to attach the bayonet????

Gonna be honest here. It's ugly.

Mosins are cheap to buy, cheap to shoot, but in my opinion ..They are all ugly...so I figured wouldn't matter how it came out.
Kinda like when you were younger, no one cared what they did with the ugly girl.

Haven't shot it yet...yeah I would sell the bayonet...I built 2 Mosins and have 2 bayonets, 1 cleaning rod and misc other little parts. Depends how close you are...don't really want to bother with shipping. Eye relief seems fine, I could always move the scope forward...got lots of room.

Not crazy about the bolt. The rest looks good. The bolt makes me think "butter knife". Thats the 1st impression I got.

Lots of cool stocks, I figured I would work with what didn't cost too much money. I must say...their prices aren't too bad. Why buy an ATI stock when you can get something really nice?
