It depends on which purse I grab or which jeans I am wearing...some fit my holster better than others. Taurus PT22, Taurus Millenium .45 or my Springfield Ultra Compact .45. Sometimes more than one!

I have only carried a couple, that is my Sig Sauer P250 Sub Compact, as far as changing calibers, it will allow me to change the barrel, and grip to accommodate any caliber from 9mm, .40, .45, .357. The other was a .38 special, which is nice, but it is not my Sig.

First = 6" Colt Python in a shoulder holster not every day '85- '92 or so

Next = Browning HP slightly worked over by Novak in a Sparks SS II '92 - 2000

Now = Ultra reliable Springfield loaded 1911 slightly worked over by Springfield in a sparks SS or Kirkpatrick OWB. 2000 - present. Sometimes a nicer 1911 for show.
    OR A S&W 442 in a pocket holster.

There are others to choose from but I am most comfortable shooting these. I could do a G19, early Springer XD, or a M&P 45 and have holsters for all but never shot them enough to feel confident carrying them.

First carry piece back in 85 , was a 6" Colt Trooper in a shoulder holster. Went 180° in 89 with a Model 60 Smith. Switched to a G19 when they first came out. Went back to the Model 60 when I traded the G19 for two Blackhawks. Depending on my mood, and what I'm doing, I currently switch back and forth between a Makarov and a Bond Arms Snakeslayer. During deer season I sometimes OC a Black hawk .41 mag.

Just stopped at GM and looked a couple smaller pistols for CC. The only one that I liked was a Sig P938 but I think I will find a way to get used to carrying my FS M&P first. The little Sig is pricey!

Didn't care for the M&P9c, the Ruger, the Glock and the Kahr's are way out of my price range. Wanted to check out a Springfield xds, but they didn't have any. I am not a fan of my pinkie not having anything to hold. At least the Sig with the extended mag fit my hand. The rest left my pinkie hanging in the air.

There is no way I can recall all of those...but within the past year? Well I will only list one that you might think is unusual. Colt Police Positive in 32-20 caliber. An effective tool indeed!

I'd be interested in your "review" of the Shield and the P238. What you liked. What you didn't. Why you switched.

Started out with a Colt Det. Spl, then to S&W 19 4"-Smith 586 6" to S&W 459 then thru the Hi-powers then thru the Star BM & Firestar 9mm's then to Firestar .45acp which led to the Auto Ordinance .45acp 5" and SA Loaded to a Kimber Eclipse and Ultra Carry / Colt Defender / SA V10 .45acp's. Moved in a totally different direction and recently bought a Glock 30 which I am currently training with...... errrr struggling with. I know, I know! As for BUG's I carry and have carried S&W J and K frames, Colt D frames, Charter Arms and Rossi .38 and .357's. Some Bersa's, Kel-TEc's and a Walther. In the field a variety of .22's from Hi-Standard, Colt, Sig, S&W and Harrington and Richardson. My favorite by far is the 1911 platform guns in all calibers mentioned above. P.S. I left out the Beretta's, 92 down to the tip up barrel .25 acp...oh yea, and a Browning BDA .380 acp. I think I better stop before I remember any more.

Well... since I've just recently gotten my LTCH, I carry my S&W 4566TSW... However I'm likely going to replace it as my carry piece with something more... 'practical'.

Despite it's size, it's not really that hard to carry. Just a bit heavy.

Since I received my License to Carry in late 2008, shortly after turning 18. I have carried my first handgun, my glock 22. Until recently(within the last year) when I started carrying my Smith and Wesson Shield .40 when I want something a little easier to conceal. I have trained with both firearms and try to regularly practice with both.
