What exactly does a trillion dollars look like ?

We'll start with a $100 dollar bill. Currently the largest U.S. denomination in general circulation.
Most everyone has seen them, slighty fewer have owned them. Guaranteed to make friends wherever they go.

One hundred $100 bills is less than 1/2" thick and contains $10,000. Fits in your pocket easily and is more than enough for week or two of shamefully decadent fun.

Believe it or not, this next little pile is $1 million dollars (100 packets of $10,000).
You could stuff that into your lunch box and walk around with it.

    [SIZE=+2]While a measly $1 million looked a little unimpressive,
$100 million is a little more respectable.

And $1 BILLION dollars... now we're really getting somewhere...

Next we'll look at ONE TRILLION dollars. This is that number we've been hearing so much about.
What is a trillion dollars? Well, it's a million million. It's a thousand billion. It's a one followed by 12 zeros.

    You ready for this?
    It's pretty surprising.

Ladies and gentlemen... I give you $1 trillion dollars...

Notice they are double stacked and labeled in gold .
...and remember those are $100 bills.

So the next time you hear congress toss around the phrase "trillion dollars"... that's what they're talking about.

A trillion seconds ago was over 31,000 years ago. In other words, it was before Jesus time.

A trillion minutes ago was almost two million years ago...aka, human beings looked like apes and hardly walked upright.

If my math is wrong, I apologize in advance.

    WAYYYYY before Jesus' time.

A trillion dollars should not be in ANY government leader's vocabulary. A huge huge number with huge huge consequences.

How is that even remotely possible? I to think they want to just print and print and print all the way to prosperity...Then when they do that it will be worth :poop:

A dollar bill is 0.0043 inches thick. A trillion $1 bills stacked up (one on top of the other, NOT end-to-end) would be 67,866 MILES high. Try to wrap your brain around that one.

The national debt of $13.44 trillion would extend for nearly two complete round trips between the Earth and the Moon.
