Most days breakfast is what I can grab & go with. Coffee is a must but food is optional. On a rushed morning a Special K protein shake or Carnation Instant Breakfast will get me by until I can eat. Some mornings it's an Uncrustable PB&J or a banana. If I have a couple minutes it's greek yogurt.

If I actually have time to cook it's something yummy. Yesterday I made sausage with scrambled eggs. Today I made chocolate chip pancakes.

    Favourite breakfast sandwich:

Sam's Club: $3.18 for two loaves of Healthy Life 100% Whole Grain bread, 20 slices each, ~8¢/slice, two slices.
$2.79 for one gallon Daily Chef 1% low fat milk, 128 oz., ~2.2¢/oz., one oz.
Aldi's: $1.50 for one dozen grade A large Goldhen Farm Fresh Eggs, 12.5¢/egg, one egg.
Walmart: ~$4 for Great Value Original Pork Sausage Patties, 20 patties, ~20¢/patty, one pattie.
~$2 for Great Value White American Singles cheese, 16 slices, ~12.5¢/slice, one slice.

Fry the sausage patty, releasing oils, eliminating the need for additional oil.
    Toast the bread.
Crack the egg into a very small bowl, fork it, add milk, continue forking until it's homogenous, light, and fluffy with introduced air.
Fry egg, add spices to taste, use spatula to fold into a square.
Build sandwich as follows: Toast, sausage, cheese, egg, toast.
Total cost: ~63.2¢ + cost of spices, natural gas, electricity, and hot water for clean up, so call it 75¢

    Otherwise, $7.38 for Kellogg's Frosted Flakes Cereal at Sam's Club, 61.9 oz., ~12¢/oz., 8 oz. 20 oz. milk, for a total cost of 96¢ + 44¢ = $1.40.

Yeah, I likes me some frosted flakes.

Food. I'm not a huge breakfast food fan, other than bacon and sometimes some corned beef hash, with the usual eggs and toast. This morning I had leftover chicken chop suey from China Lane. I always eat breakfast, just not always breakfast food. I've eaten just about anything from salad to chili in the AM.

I like the Jimmy Dean's breakfast croissants. 45 seconds in the microwave!

I don't have time to cook in the morning anymore. Wish I did, I miss my daily eggs.
