Wow, everyone seems to have been through a bunch of ammo. I really enjoyed my time at the range because the people there understood and followed proper range safety rules. It is really nice to be able to relax and not worry that you may end paralyzed but some goofball. This range does not have an official range master as do some large ranges, I have taken on that responsibility at times when I was clearly one of two (me and my friend) people that had any clue as to what proper range etiquette was.
I shot ten rounds from my new Marlin .30-30 and got 1.5" groups at 100yards, that was it for me. My friend Dave zeroed in his Savage F class 6.5-284 rifle at 100 yards with his first ever set of reloads. It got hot and we were glad to go home then.
I wouldn't trade my low round count day with no worries of bad gun handling for those that had to deal with poor gun handling around them, I feel your pain.
