Depends on your budget...
Then it depends on the size of firearm you want.
The EMP is a DANGED good firearm. They're "full-sized" accurate and soft shooting, too.
You'll be hard pressed to get a NIB one for under a grand, though. Used ones pop up every once in a while...I sold mine here on INGO... Guy got a heck of a deal.
I ended up selling mine because after owning it / shooting it for a while, I determined that A), I'm not a big fan of 1911-style pistols B) not a big fan of single-action only center-fire pistols.
Go figure?
I'm positive that STI makes a 9mm version, too.

Oh, and what are you selling your G19 for? hehe
The EMP has the distinct advantage of being re-designed around the 9mm cartridge; pretty much all the other offerings just drop a 9mm barrel and magazine into a .45 chassis. Thus, they are size-inefficient at best, and unreliable at worst.
If I wanted a 1911 style 9mm, it would be an EMP, period. If I wanted a full-size single action 9mm, it would be a Browning Hi-Power.
But WTH do I know? I'm a Glock guy.
but, I keep thinking they are an upper tier single stack that seems to be like a Kahr with prom clothes on...?
Kimber makes several of their models in 9mm, here is one they have that if I was looking for a 9mm 1911 I would give a look at
Are the Aegis pistols any smaller, dimensionally, than their .45 counterparts?

Besides the width the only other difference I see is the recoil spring pounds. I do believe that I had read that Kimber designed the Aegis for the 9mm round and thats the only caliber they sell it in.
Para Ordnance's, Have a Carry 9 that I really like.
