I do a lot of incise and drains but I have to say...12 inches would blow away any record I would expect from the dental world. We think more in terms of volume when it comes to story bragging rights. Just last week I had a I&D that yielded a good 20cc of straight up purulent exudate (pus) over the course of 10 minutes. It didn't really bring down the facial swelling that looked like she was trying to shoplift a racquetball but it did deflate the pressure on the immediate intra-oral knot.

Funny story. My sister is a PHD in physical anthropology and has been to the FBI body farm for a week long course on studying dead human bodies in various states of decay in various environments....she had no problem, and found it hilarious, that they had pork and rice barbeque at the end of the course (to mimic tissue and maggots) but the mere mention of pus and she starts making faces. Push the conversation and she dry heaves. Different strokes.
