I'm a Glock guy, and have thought about picking up a Sig220. I feel you.

I'm another Glock guy... I have a question, having never shot a Sig. Do you notice any more recoil on a Sig than a Glock? It looks to me like you can't get your hand up high and near the bore axis on a Sig like you can on a Glock.

I have owned, and currently own a Glock, but I'm in love with the Sigs. IMHO, there is just no nicer looking firearm. Now, I just need to save up to get me one of these....

I am a certified SIG nut. I like Glocks, but ever since I bought my first SIG (a P226 .40), I have never looked back. I have or have had in the past:

    P226 .40 (with .357 SIG conversion Barrel)
    P220 .45
    P228 9mm
    P229 .40
    P229 9mm

    And I have extensively shot:

    P225 9mm
    P239 9mm

Glocks never felt comfortable in my hand, but all of the above SIG's have been extremely comfortable (I am a big guy and wear size XL gloves).

Also, in my opinion, SIG's recoil less than Glocks. This is probably mostly due to the heavier weight of the SIG's alloy frame compared to Glock's polymer frame.YMMV. I also like the grip angle better on the SIG's.

I hear you on the love that can be found in a Sig.........I too am in Law Enforcement, and I have the good fortune of being able to use both the Glock and the Sig in the line of duty. My full time department issues me the Glock 22 in .40 s&w and I carry my own Sig P220 in .45acp for the department that I work part time for. In my opinion, both guns are of the best quality out there that can be bought.

Thanks Boz for answering my question. I look forward to trying out a Sig.

Boz, I'm only 5'7" and have relatively small hands, but the sigs still fit me best, too. Not gonna glock bash here, as I had to recommend one to a friend, ( and yes, it hurt to do so ) but the grip angle is so different. Sigs are just a lot more comfortable to me. The brick analogy does apply here.
