“I leave my wife and three young daughters home alone for days at a time to represent my constituents here,” Katz said on the floor of the Assembly. “After what happened to the young mother in Loganville, Georgia who defended her two young children against an intruder, this bill will turn me into a criminal because you can bet that before I leave to do the people’s work, there will be more than seven bullets in the magazine of my wife’s firearm.”
The problem is the millions of morons in the city that vote for any politician with a jackass next to their name. The gun owners are heavily outnumbered in that state. Of course, I'd gladly welcome them all to Indiana.I get a good feeling when I read that LEOs are opposing these ridiculous laws. The gun owners on NY need to put their foot down and get rid of the real criminals in office.

Wouldn't be suprised if they did. After all this do you think they will elect this guy again?
It could soon be time for an open carry event in NY. And not the peaceful kind. Hope the state reconsiders b4 they have a series of incidents that inflame the whole country.Civil disobedience, could we be witnessing history in the making? Could it be that Obama or more accurately his minions have finally gone too far? I hope Obama is taking notice of this, and all the voices that have spoken out against the AWB from all corners of the United States.

You have to understand that just as Chicago controls Illinois, so too does NYC drive the political bus for DPRNY. almost 50% of the population of the entire state lives in the 5 boroughs of the city. Another 8 - 10% live in the metro area. That puts almost 60% of the populace of the state of NY in 500 out of 47,000 sq miles of land area. A very large portion of upstate NY, and almost all of western NY is red. There just aren't enough people there to counteract the pompous know-better-than-you-how-to-live-your-life authoritarians and freeloaders in the city.
Very well said.
I That would almost be an impetus for door-to-door searches.

I think this is exaclty what their plan is.
First assault weapons.
Then hunting...err sniper rifles.
then handguns....err concealable assault weapons
Then knives, swords,...
Then pointy sticks.....etc.
Obama and his Veep have said that if a firearm law saves one life, it is worth it. I haven't read if Cuomo follows the same reasoning in his ban, but if so, what will be his excuse if a uniformed civilian tries to disarm a non-uniformed civilian and a shoot out ensues, much like what happened when the Brits tried to disarm the original colonists?
If honest people die in the name of the constitution, fighting to protect their and our rights, doesn't that make obama-messiah's statement and cuomo's law even more disgusting?
I hope it doesn't come down to gunfire, but someone with a large collection of that which shall not be infringed is backed into a corner, it could get ugly. Again, I hope it never gets that far.
