    That's a good point Soundslikejosh. I'm pretty sure that if he's not selling the Marine Corps, it can't be advertising. If he's a recruiter, they could probably make the charge of advertising stick (wrong though it would be).
    My neighbor has a USMC mailbox with the Iwo jima flag raising photo on it. I wonder if they'd make him get rid of that. I don't think they could unless there's already rules for mailboxes, such as what color, size, and material, etc, which there probably is.
    I have always told my realtor, "don't even bother to suggest anything in a HOA."
