We have a place in Cabo Pedragal and go 4 or 5 times a year. Same crime as here but the response is totally different. We were there in march and a tourist was in a neighborhood bar at 3 am, according to his family, too drunk to walk and trying to buy weed, and got robbed.
the next morning we went to the marina to catch our fishing charter and were stunned by the federales present. MIT was the whole show, full tactical gear, body armor etc. F150 with .50 cals, armored rhino's, military pursuit boats in the marina and patrolling the beach area.
I asked one of the security guards at our gate what was up and he said a tourist was robbed and they want everyone to feel safe.
I don't care what happens in the northern tourist traps, our people in Baja Sur don't play.
