The Obama administration says flying the flag could give Haiti the wrong idea

WTF, so I guess the fact that once again we are somewhere helping someone and contributing more than any other country is the wrong idea :xmad:

Damn, I have got to stop reading these stories before I have a stroke, not sure my blood pressure can take anymore (already on 2 B/P meds now)

I think the Obama administration is giving the world the wrong idea. I served under that flag as many thousands of other men and women have in war time and peace. If he is ashamed of that flag. I am ashamed of him!

if you're not ashamed of him and his admin. yet, prehaps you missed the bowing to the japanese emperor and all the butt kissing going on in the middle east by the obamanator. just another submissive move by a socialistic and inferior government official. next we'll be allowing mexican durg runners to take refuge in texas, oh wait.........

This was in response to the world community, especially France, that was accusing us of being there to "take over everything." The reasoning was, if we didn't show signs of our presence, it wouldn't show how much of the infrastructure we are supporting in Haiti.

Things like this occur around the world everyday. They want the yankee dollar and handout but they don't want to admit they might actually need a little help from a bunch of imperialistic, immoral hooligans. A former co-worker and I had many "warm" discussions when Puerto Rico was trying to kick the navy off of Vieques. He kept arguing that P.R. was a soveriegn island, yeah right!! Anyway I told him that I didnt' have a problem with P.R. kicking us yankees out so long as they kicked out those yankee greenbacks, that's when he argued that as a U.S. Territory that they deserved to receive U.S. aid money.:ugh: I know a lot of people nowadays that think the rules are firm in relation to everyone else but open to interpretation when applied to them, hmmmm, kinda like our current flock of "representatives"!!!
