Looks like Uncle Sam is gonna get coal for the holidays via another downgrade by Moody's or Fitch. Ouch! But then again it's not like we did not see it coming. The wall of reality is getting closer and closer before we slam into it.

As of June 30, 2011, we had the highest external debt in the world. Larger than the EU by roughly 1 trillion dollars. We were 47,568 dollars in debt for every US citizen. Even with all the debt wrangling, has our debt gone lower in the second half of this year?

While Obama and Bush before him and all the other pres before Bush have signed off on the budget it's actually Congress that says we (the USA) will be spending xyz this coming year.

In reality Congress is the ones to blame! Obama, Bush, Bush I, Clinton, etc.. are are just as guilty for not vetoing those budgets but they along have not spent like crazy.
