Hey guys, I'm looking at getting some new grips for my 1911 officers model and I was wondering if anyone knows of any place in the South Bend area that has any in stock? Preferably NOT the Hogue wrap arounds.

    Thanks guys.

Not sure of any dealers around Indiana but IMHO VZ grips makes the best 1911 grips hands down and they have literally hundreds of options

I've been moving to using mainly VZ grips on just about anything I have that they make them for. A VZ shod 1911 is a thing of beauty. Real wood is nice too and I still run it on a couple of my guns. I used to be a fan of the Hogues, but they just don't do it for me any longer. Life's too short to live with ugly grips when beautiful, functional grips are available.

Another vote for VZ Grips, although if you go with them you might want to consider their less aggressive styles of you plan on using the 1911 as a CCW. Fantastic grips, though. Just put a set of VZ Aliens on my 1911.
