    Excellent choice.
Some of you want the most challenging path possible, but this would be a move to unite the party. We’re currently split between Trump-aholics and those who want a non-Trump conservative. You want to bridge the gap with the VP pick, not dig in further.

The reality is much like many of you won’t dare vote for someone not orange, others won’t go with his brand. Haley polls stronger than Trump, because unlike Trump, she can appeal to the middle and that demographic that despises people who payoff porn stars and grab em by the *****.

Haley speaks to the middle. You need the middle to win. I feel like I have to remind some of you that the goal is to win.

Picking someone unapologetically MAGA would be a gift for Biden.

Also, on the topic of winning. We need get people to mail in votes and run up the score early. This stuff doesn't encourage that.

This message supports Biden's trying to make 2024 a referendum on Trump, not Biden. He has zero message discipline.

How is invading every country on the planet a middle ground position?

Do middle grounders like the idea that everyone who uses social media should be made to identify themselves or be banned for posting anonymously?

“Every person on social media should be verified by their name. It’s a national security threat,”

Saying that she fears that social media anonymity could translate into misinformation, Haley said “you’re going to get some civility when people know their name is next to what they say.”

“They need to verify every single person on their outlet, and I want it by name,” Haley said,

90% of INGO just simultaneously did this:

(Ingo tech support, please figure out how to add the rolling eyes emoji to the list of reactions under the Like button. And maybe change that from "like" to "react")

Anyway, I don't think you got the internal memo. Neocons are no longer considered Republicans by most Republican voters. Haley as a running mate is considered a poison pill to America-first voters. Just No. She does not put America first. Flush that ****. <- that's the C-word if you're wondering.

I'm not voting for her even if she does win the nomination, because I don't see her opposing ClownWorld™. She's all but endorsed parts of it as SC governor. If she's on the ticket in any capacity, it's a hard no for me. Not voting for a chamber-o-commerce Neo-****.

Nikki Haley is basically Mike Pence in a dress. Dick Chaney in heels. If either of those were on the ticket with Trump would you vote for that ticket? Again, hard no for me. And it's not because they're moderates. It's because they're chamber-o-commerce/neocons. Grifters for corporate cronyism. Supporters of the establishment ********ers. Secret allies of ClownWorld™.

Anyone who justifies infringing on free speech--and anonymity is part of that--by claiming it's a national security threat, would infringe on more rights under the fear of national security threats. This **** is dangerous to a free society, or at least one that is desperately trying to cling to freedom.

I'm wondering how many here would soften their stance against the "bad orange man" if he chose Haley?

I mean after all It doesn't change everything they despise about him.

Yep. In today's world there are severe consequence against speaking freely and the only way to do so for most is through anonymity out of fear of repercussion or not speak freely at all.

This shows a pretty stark dichotomy. Some people won't vote for Trump. Some people won't vote for Haley. Put them together and do you get more or fewer voters in support of the ticket?

I suspect more. The ardent Trumpers aren't gonna dump him just because a neocon joins the ticket. They voted for him despite Pence on the ticket.

I'll admit that my politics have shifted from leaning much more libertarian, to being mostly AF, which I think includes the overlapping libertarian principles. I am much less tolerant of chamber-o-commerce/neocon grifters than I was 4 years ago. I didn't care much for Pence's smarmy sermons. Can't really call them speeches. Didn't like his religio-neocon bias. But he was acceptable, and at the time I though of him as better than Trump.

A lot has changed. I think I am now in fairly narrow company; an AF voter who hates neocons and will not vote for one on the ticket no matter who heads it. For example, I'd prefer DeSantis won the nomination, but if he picked the neocon grifter, it's a hard no.

However, that being narrow company, I think Haley on the ticket pulls along moderate voters, albeit, reluctantly, just like Pence did. Plus, the Trumpers will vote for Trump no matter who is his running mate. So I'm thinking that might make a net positive gain. Team Trump will most likely poll-check that. And if he sees the most net positive gain, I don't see him caring much. If they care to admit it, the ardent Trumpers should be a bit pissed about the choice. They're still tapping the Trump/Haley box in November 2024.

Will the "ardent" Trump supporters be put in the position of holding their nose then?

If there were mechanisms in place that truly protect free speech, I think more people would opt to identify themselves.

Cancel culture should be eliminated by law. They say, you have free speech but we will impose consequences on you if you use it to go against us. Of course those consequences can be quite dire, including doxxing, where your free speech, might cost you your life. And they claim this as just, because you had it coming.

In the social construct of a free society, you cede vengeance to the state, presumably to a justice system which prevents false vengeance, and provides real justice. So that people don't take it upon themselves to take their own vengeance, where emotions and biases very often creates injustice.

Cancel culture nullifies the social contract, because they're taking social vengeance, which is usually unjust, out on the person or group. In a free society it is not the prerogative of an ideologue to ruin someone's life, just because they were offended even on someone else's behalf. Cancel culture should be canceled by law if we're going to live by rule of law. It is self-evident that cancel culture is not rule of law. It's rule of ideologues. It's a far overdue update to the social contract.

I mean. They did for Pence. Is Haley much different? Well. Actually she's worse. For his neocon asshattery, I don't think Pence ever advocated for ClownWorld™.

My point is they get after those who say that they will hold their nose and vote for Trump. IMO they will have to hold their nose if Trump picks Haley. She's a disloyal traitor remember for entering the race when she said she wouldn't if Trump ran again.

BTW, I've decided against specifying ClownWorldLeft and ClownWorldRight. ClownWorld™ represents all the nutty attributes of the world Democrats propose. ClownWorld™ was coined by an X user of the same name, who lampoons it. I've taken to borrowing that as short hand for all it represents. I give credit to that user by adding the ™. And I'll continue to do that.

There is a right wing clown world but of a different nature. The world that they propose isn't really clownish, per se, other than one or two exceptions which I won't mention. They don't propose policies that are far different from policies of Reagan, for example.

The right wing clown world is not about policy, but is more a world of unfounded beliefs. So basically, to make it clear what I'm saying, The Gateway Pundit is a sovereign state that exists in clown-world right. :):

Don't ask me; ask the people. Haley outperforms Trump head-to-head with Biden by double digits in most polls. She's also not doing badly in the NH polls. Guarantee Trump notices that. The goal is to create a ticket that unifies. We've also got people on Ingo who think Kari Lake or Tucker Carlson is a good idea, so roll your eyes away.

My priority 1 is winning. Anecdotal evidence- my wife voted for Trump twice, but he lost her in the post-election embarrassment of 2020. She loves Haley. She doesn't give a hoot about the neocon crap and loves her in the debates. She's not alone. Haley polls better with women. We need to expand the pool...
