8/10, the only con is - it isn't about you, not everything is. I'm glad you could make peace with the inevitability of Trump and I'm sorry I hurt your feels by disrespecting your minor in philosophy. Welcome to the dark side, now help me spread realpolitik to those who still can't see itI pretty much agreed with everything else you said. Here, not so much. You used the same rationale on me whenever I said I'm voting for least evil, or holding my nose, etcetera.
Your Pontius Pilot accusation was never accurate. People get to rank politicians in terms of pros and cons, and in the end, for some people, there's fewer pros and more cons for the candidate who wins the primary. When the other candidate is worse, it's reasonable for those people to feel like they have to hold their nose to vote for the former.
There are probably some people who will not vote for Trump because they think it's immoral to do so. If that were the case, I think you might have a point. I mean, I'd rather Trump weren't a porn star ****er. To me when I felt like I had to hold my nose and voter for him in November, it's because the moral compass is one con for Trump. And not that I think there's anything immoral about voting for a porn star ****er. HKFC has said a lot against Trump. I haven't heard him say he thinks it's immoral to vote for Trump.
Something that's changed since then, I don't really feel like I'm holding my nose at this point. I actually want Trump to be president. I think feelings had the most to do with that change. The assassination attempt really pissed me off. That turned into a big pro in my thinking that cancels out many cons.
Only one con on my mind now, and that's pretty much hoping that Trump's tendency for unforced errors doesn't cost him the election. The debate performance did not seem to hurt him much.
If you can't see the parallels between "When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it." and the attitudes of those still crawfishing and worrying about the hem of their garment after the choice became binary - America or communism - then I can't help you. I have more important concerns
Not trying to be an ass (usually that just comes naturally), but I meant the criticisms about your attitude at the time I gave them. I never expected you would agree with them because that's not how people are wired, not even Hegelian Dialectic fanbois
