McCarthy made promises to his congressional peers in exchange for their votes to win the Speaker position. McCarthy then didn't live up to his promises. He reneged on his comittments and suffered the consequences. Your sentence in red is inaccurate.
Agreed, and to build upon that McCarthy failed to show ANY backbone in challenging a hostile government's priorities and acted to avoid any contentious votes and in favor of business as usual. His ouster was worth the price, just as Johnson's will be - for the same reasons

It took Lincoln quite a few wrong choices before he found the generals that could beat the south, but it was worth it once he did - and they didn't win by avoiding bloody battles when those were necessary. Lessons of history for the win

I'm waiting for the Republicans to counter whatever you think the Democrats are doing. 2020 was the perfect storm with covid. Many rules were changed in less than scrupulous ways, but that was four years ago. I tried with the others, can you explain why the Republicans are unable to actually combat any of this cheating? You'd think in four years they would have a plan to fight it. Instead I am told here they are incapable of doing so.
The most effective way to fight it is with the legal system and as we all know that entails waiting until something arguably illegal has been attempted so an injunction can be sought and requires a plaintiff who can actually make the case he or they have suffered harm for which there is a legal remedy available (See: standing)

So some of the fight becomes brinksmanship, dems trying to figure how late they can wait to try the sketchy things they think will help their side and our side standing locked and loaded waiting for them to set foot across the deadline. We won't win against all of the attempts at fraud/election interference but perhaps we will win enough. We won't know until we try, and if we go down fighting it is still better than doing nothing but kvetching on INGO

All I can do is my part ass I see it and encourage people like you to find something, anything you can do to make a difference. Volunteer at a call center, canvas for republican candidates, try to convince one person you know who isn't on board to vote our way. If everyone does just one of those things it could make a real difference

But if you want me to guarantee your effort will achieve the desired results before you will even make such an effort your not worth the investment in time. The future hasn't been written yet and I personally believe God is not done with us yet

Please note that the continued efforts of people who believe all things are possible, including myself, have managed to get Moreno into a horserace with Brown (I'm proud to say) when many believed that wasn't possible. Like I said elsewhere, if you believe you will fail you are almost always correct. It isn't too late to get involved, change one voter's mind and you have made a difference

Wow. Illigal invasion is Trump's fault.
    The emperor has no clothes.
    Who is the current emperor?
81MM legit votes. Very fine people voting, I'm sure.
Shhh. Jetta believes a bill that would enshrine at least 5000 crossings per day (1.825 million per year) and would allow the president to approve unlimited numbers of surges to 15000 per day (up to 5.475 million per year) at his sole discretion would somehow qualify as legislation to control the border, and Trump urging its defeat somehow translates into not wanting the border controlled at all

We can't make him take his meds so we just try not to let the truth upset him too much

Here is how Soros plans to use to immigrants that are staying with @JettaKnight and flooding our country …

Yes, they are fast tracking some of them for hasty naturalization - oddly enough, primarily in battleground states

    400 million
And if you question it being more than the population, well then you're a conspiracy theorist
    "Number three
You have the right to free speech
    As long as you're not
Dumb enough to actually try it

    [Chorus]
    Know your rights
    These are your rights
    Oh, know your rights
    These are your rights
    All three of 'em, ha

    And it has been suggested
In some quarters that this is not enough
    Well, get off the streets
    Get off the streets!"
    - Know Your Rights, The Clash

Once again fiction becomes reality. Strange times

 A coworker of mine said in a meeting today that he was afraid he would be fired if Trump won because "Trump would fire all the Democrat government employees." These people are nuts.
He won't fire them (unless they run afoul of Schedule F), but he might move their agency well out of DC and then allow them to quit because they don't want to have to live outside the bubble

Where in the world does he get these numbers?

The director of Immigration & Customs Enforcement revealed in a letter on Friday that thousands of illegal migrants living in the U.S. have been convicted of violent crimes in recent years with hundreds of thousands of migrant criminal cases remaining unresolved.

In the letter that was sent to Texas Republican Rep. Tony Gonzales, Acting ICE Director Patrick Lechleitner detailed how over 13,000 illegal immigrants in the US were found guilty of homicide and an additional 15,000 have been found guilty of sexual assault.

From the director of ICE, apparently - but what would he know about anything, right Jetta?

Welcome back. Now I have to start reminding myself again that teal font indicates "just kidding" on that *other* board. But why would I want to take Biphetamine?
You reveal (too) much about your college days, grasshopper - as do I by knowing wherefrom you speak

I watched the two videos but why was he not allowed in the restaurant? I didn't catch that.
That restaurant is in the bag for Kamarada. They allowed her to usher out all of their customers in order to fill the restaurant with shills and film a political spot

I would guess they don't want a level playing field because people might see that regular people support Trump/Vance over the communist insurgency

This shows that in 2022 illegals favored Democrats. Obviously not as conservative as you think they are.

Where is this/your they are conservative, and would likely vote Republican evidence at?
Legal immigrants, vetted by the (former) system and able to support themselves and contribute to their adopted country tend to favor conservative viewpoints

And these asylum seekers, can't vote. They can pay taxes and pay into SS, but they can't vote.
If they are in a state with 'motor voter' on the books that allows them to have drivers licenses (and there are more than you think) then they are ALREADY registered. And many of those states resist requiring proof of citizenship in order to vote (See: Arizona)

So what is stopping them from voting, their reverence for the law (See: the 'illegal' part of illegal immigrant)

Show that to he true from the data he posted.

Most calls for legalizing abortion and mutilating come from the enlightened citizenry in first world countries. I highly doubt that holds for the Christian Immigrants.

Maybe there is a survey to show otherwise.
“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years. These nations have progressed through this sequence: From bondage to spiritual faith; From spiritual faith to great courage; From courage to liberty; From liberty to abundance; From abundance to selfishness; From selfishness to apathy; From apathy to dependence; From dependence back into bondage.”
    ― Alexander Fraser Tytler

Yes I know many legal immigrants. All are Republican voters.
Border jumpers just here for the handouts or what they can take, not so much
We were discussing illegals not legal immigrants.
Illegals favor democrats by a lot.

Given the Democraps’ socialist ideology and being hell bent on destroying the United States as we know it, (especially the 2A) we had all better pray and hope and vote for Republicans on all tickets from top to bottom.

Yes, Trump may have his faults; however, he will not let the United States go down the toilet and deteriorate into a third world socialist country like Venezuela or chit hole like Mexico.

As for Indiana, we had better all vote Republican otherwise the Democraps will turn Indiana into another cesspool like Illinois. Period!!!

Some may try to argue these points but deep down they know these observations are indubitably true!

    God Bless America, please?
