So does Russia, Ukraine, China, and the Democrat party. Let's not forget the EU.

No doubt that Iran doesn't want Trump and prefers Kramala. Iran was pinned down under the Trump admin and rose back into prominence under the Biden/Harris admin.

All those countries I mentioned were pinned down one way or another under Trump.
The EU doesn't like him because he makes them pay their share, and many other reasons that deal with trade. Is it enough to try to assassinate him over? Yes.

    On the counterpoint there's this:

And part of that is that the GOP has been quite xenophobic, so can you blame them?

Then there's the fact that immigrants voter turn out rate is lower.
Yeah, black folks probably overwhelmingly identify as Christians as well.

We all know they overwhelmingly vote for free stuff.

Praying to or invoking their protection?
.Most Protestants, at least in my experience, will not recognize the distinction.

To pray means to ask for something so as an Orthodox I would not have a Problem with it. I have icons of Mary and Jesus that I sit on my desk. My personal experience in speaking with Protestants I work with is I am practicing idolatry and why pray to anyone else when all I have to do is go through Jesus.

    Is your experience different?

Jesus taught us how to pray, gave us the model. Jesus is the "only" mediator between us and God. Knowing that, I choose to pray only to God in Jesus name. I prefer to go straight to the creator and not anything /anyone that is or was created.

Without going into a long back and forth debate, let's just agree we disagree.

I'm Catholic and align with most of the churches teachings, but will admit I'm not up to speed on what Protestants believe.

In an effort to not detail this thread further, let's leave it at that and TRUMP 2024!

Praying to angels is not a biblical practice.
Many verses in the Bible even show angles instructing those not to.
Prayer to Mary or saints also not biblical. But that's where I end this religious discussion in this thread.
