I had a foot long metal model of the sr-71 my dad got for me when he was doing some business with one of the related companies. It was really impressive but I haven't seen the thing in probably 15 years. It's probably packed up in a box somewhere...

My 2 favorite jets of all time are the SR-71 and the A-10, both for their own reasons. I'd love to have about an hour with one (hell even with the TDP) just to see how it ticked.

Very cool.

The SR-71 and A-10 are about as far on opposite sides of the spectrum as they get, but I agree that both are pretty friggin cool!
