Thanks for the replies again. It's a done deal now. The gun is in my gun cabinet. It's a marlin model 60 in stainless with matching scope and laminated stock. He didn't really like the stainless after he purchased it. I kinda like it. As for the warranty I done it online and did not give them the information they don't need( in my opinion ) such as income, marital status etc. I was given a written receipt and access to the store receipt upon request if needed.
