Ok, I liked the other list for hunting guns, but some people, including myself feel that other guns that are not on that list deserve to be on a list.

So lets have it, name your personal favorite gun of all time.
    1 rifle
    1 shotgun
    1 pistol

    My opinion
    M14
    870 Super Mag
    Colt 1911

    I liked the list.

    Here are my 3

Rifle: AK 47 I agree with the "it will always shoot theory"
Shotgun: I love my 870 Wingmaster
Handgun: Glock 19. I know Glocks are basic but I love how it ALWAYS shoots and never jams.

Come to think of it.... That is why I like all of these guns. They are easy to keep up and fun to shoot. I would trust any of these weapons at any time.

    Rifle: FAL
    Shotgun: Ithaca M-37
    Handgun: Browning P-35

My list shouldn't take anything away from the other firearms mentioned... All of 'em are revolutionary in their own right.

I chose the FAL due to it being one of the most battle-tested rifle designs on the planet; so good, even HK copied the design for themselves. The Ithaca? After the Winchester 1897 began to fall by the wayside, the M-37 slid right in. Its lightweight design and "ambidextrous" bottom ejection made it ideal for police use. Plus, they're GORGEOUS. As far as handgun... I didn't just want to echo the 1911, itself another revolutionary design; but JMB considered his P-35 to be an improvement over the 1911. It's also, as we know, the first "high capacity" double stack pistol. Think of all of the double stack pistols on the market today and then thank JMB for his P-35.

    Rifle: M1 Garand
    Shottie: Winchester Model 12
    Pistol: Colt M1911

Not just because I like WWII weapons either. There are a few revolutionary designs there that have been incorporated in many subsequent weapons. Next on the rifle list would be the AK.
