While they may not be as "sexy" as a 30 round mag, the 10 round fixed mags are more reliable. Never had a problem with the 10 rounder and stripper clips. The 30 rounded just doesn't want to work. Now I will confess I have only tried the one 30-rounder. I have spoken to several guys at the range that all told me the same thing though.

Oh, and "Yes" everyone should own at least one SKS.

    I got a junk 10rd mag.
When I put it in and close it, everything is fine.
But when I put more than 5-6 in from the top the mag wants to pop out.

Started removing the black spray paint the guy I got it off of put on it.
What a pain. Very good looking wood under the paint.

The TAPCO 20 rd mags work fine. I've got a couple you can have. I'm going to stick with the fixed mag. I figure if you want removable mags, buy an AK.
