This has been brought up before, but I agree with Phylodog on this: if you're not doing your civic duty and participating in the electoral process, you may as well be a child in the eyes of the law (NOT dragging Phylodog into that last phrase). If you don't think you have a responsibility to change your government if you don't think it's working for you, you're thinking and acting like someone who feels no sense of responsibility: that's not "citizenship." If you want to ***** about the government, but you won't act to change the way it's run, and if you insist you're a nominal adult, perhaps you should search for another country with a government to your liking.

You sound angry. Anger leads to hate and all that... Here is a video for you.

I don't think it matters much which party controls at this point. If nothing else, the global economy will take us all down. The U.S. economy is propped up by dirivatives, which are not even assets. Do some researh on dirivatives, it's scary that the banks in this country are so dependent on them. We are living in a house of cards, all it needs is a little tremor and it all is going to collapse anyway.

This true. It may make absolutely no difference who is in the WH. We may be so far gone that no one can change it. But at least we need to try. If it does go south then the historians can argue who was to blame at some later date. In the mean time we'll all be too busy just trying to survive.
