Im in kinda the same boat.

Ive got in narrowed down a little more though. For me its between a S&W 686 and a Ruger GP100.

My brother has a 6" GP100 and from my experiance with it, I can say you will not be sorry with one.

I may go 686 just to have somthing different from my brother.

Im voting GP100 though since you dont have a Ruger.
