As much as I now love my DB380, unless you are interested in being ticked off every time you go to the range through about the first 200 rounds, pick something else.

You need to go with something you can trust from day 1. :yesway: As much as I have never personally shot the Keltec's or the Ruger's (the 380's are essentially the same gun) the very common word is that they will fire every time. Just my :twocents:.

That S&W Bodyguard 380 is pretty sweet looking, and comes with a laser. No idea how it shoots though. :dunno:

another vote for lcp. They just put out lcp with lasermax for $350 this month. I love my lcp and carry it around ore than my other guns, it's never failed.

If you really want a "mouse gun" one that can easily be concealed, how about something like this?

Bersa makes a fine pistol; the cost to quality ratio is favorable. They lookcool too. I am partial to Berretta though. Take a look at the new Berretta Nano9mm (will be coming out in .40 soon). It is smaller (dimensions notweight) than the Bersa CC .380 but more powerful. I have a little F.I.E. Titan .25autoas a backup in case I want to put someone's eye out, but I wouldn't want mylife to depend on a round that small (btw the F.I.E. was found in a little old lady's garage nextto a fully auto AK47!)

there is also the beretta tomcat in .32 not a bad gun. It's a bit thick but its some bite on certain ammo but honestly a mouse gun/pocket pistol is gonna be used so close i dont really mind. with a ct you get a thicker grip on makes for a fine pistol.

My vote would be for a NAA or Seecamp in 380.

This is my only mouse gun I have now....Bauer 25.
It's a Baby Browning clone in stainless that was bought more as a novelty, but it shoots every time I pull the trigger.
I have to be carefull how grip it or the slide will bite the web of my hand.
With Cor Bon or Hornady ammo I think it would get the job done if needed.
Accuracy is acceptable for the range that they are designed to be used too.

Polish Army P-64 in 9x18 Makarov. Hotter than a .380, smaller than a 9 para. All steel so PR isn't terrible and absolutely accurate. Dollar for dollar the best pocket gun I have had.

    Mouse gun

I went through several of the more popular mouse guns before I bit the bullet and settled on the Sig P380. If you can stand the price, it's great.

I have the regular thunder 380 and the kel-tec p-32. And both serve there intended missions very well. If I need a small gun its usually one of those. If times dictate I neeed a mouse gun such as for bike riding or deep concealment.

If you are a 1911 fan, the Sig P-238 in .380 is great little pistol. Most models comes with night sights. Good shooter, although a break in period is recommended.

I prefer the original mouse gun, the real McCoy, the choice of Bond, the Walther PPK or PPK/S in 9mm Kurz and load it up with Winchester Silver Tip Hollow Points. They are concealable, dependable and as a bonus, you get your own theme song:

Ah but it's not! The original Bond mouse gun was the Beretta M950BS, suppressed, of course! In Casino Royal, (The first bond book, not the movie), that was his gun!

My everyday carry is the Kel-Tec P3-AT .380, but when I want a true mouse gun I shift to my NAA Mini .22 Magnum. Ouch.

I'll carry a Taurus TCP .380 pretty much everywhere I go. Been perfectly reliable for me. I also pocket carry a Taurus model 605 in .357. You'll find that a lot of people on the boards, (and in gun shops, apparently,) will have a 2 inch snubbie on their person somewhere, in addition to their bigger gun. They're good for that, as they tend to have more power than a comparable sized auto, and don't worry as much about lint and whatnot. Plus, you can pick up a used 2 inch .38 or .357 all over the place at or under $300, so its a cheap investment.

So I've been thinking about getting a pocket pistol or "mouse gun" as I've heard them referred to. Looking through all the options I'm starting to settle on the Bersa Thunder CC.

So this made me want to check in with all of you and ask, what kind of mouse gun is your favorite? And what caliber do you like?
And if any of you have experience with the versa thunder let me know your thoughts.

    Thanks!

I have both a Bersa Thunder CC and a P3AT. I now almost always grab the P3AT for my pocket. The weight difference is significant and the P3AT literally disappears. I also wear it running in a Smartcarry worn on the strong side.

The major difference between the two is weight and comfort in shooting. The P3AT is not fun to shoot, the Bersa is.

The other guns similar to the P3AT would be the same.

When it comes to "mouse guns", I have several. I carry a NAA 32 acp, and have for about 10 years. I also have a NAA in 32 naa, a NAA in 380, several derringer style 22's, a Ruger LCP in 380, a SIG P290 in 9mm, several snubnose 38 revolvers, and the one guns that I almost always have with me is my NAA Guardian in 32acp. I trust it to fire everytime and I honestly believe that a 32 acp will get the job done if necessary.
