Master
I missed the first few minutes and fell asleep before the end. The middle of the episode was . . . crap.
Okay, I get it that they want to make the Morgan character into some kind of reborn Zen master who treasures the sanctity of all life to point of being unwilling to kill anything (except, apparently plant life doesn't count). The problem is, that's an interesting philosophy when almost everyone and everything you meet is not trying to kill you and those who are depending on you to carry your weight to protect the group. In the context of the show, it's reckless, incredibly irresponsible vanity that has and will continue to get more good people kill. In the context of the show, it's incredible weakness being displayed, not strength.
Perhaps the writers want us to see that as well. Who knows. It struck me as pathetic and malevolent. If someone wants to live that way on their own or with others who agree with the philosophy and choices, that's fine. Go with it and accept the consequences. However, when you choose to be a part of a group whose members are almost always in mortal peril from others who need to be killed or they will never stop, then it's cowardly and evil. Life matters, but some lives have to matter more when there is a conflict.
