    Where's the Bible?!

    Can't do that. The purpose of the ad is to convince on-the-fence gun owners to support the program. Using the Bible as a prop was probably considered, but rejected as being too likely to be seen as obviously over-the-top, and thus lose its effectiveness.

    Plus there'd likely be some that would howl and complain that since the commercial is aired over public airwaves, that would violate that old separation of church and state thing.:):

    I called the number from the radio ad and got the their talking points. Then I was forwarded to Senator Coats office. I told the lady that answered that I was against any new laws and anything that Bloomberg was for. She kind of laughed and said that most of the calls she had taken we just like mine. Maybe the ads will have the reverse affect.
