20 years in law enforcement shows me that anything used in an assault, is an assault weapon. In my experience, hammers, screwdrivers and kitchen knives are used most.

    Holy Cow!

The truth about true assault weapons is I don't have the license necessary to own one. Don't have the money to acquire one. Couldn't afford to feed one if I had one. Wouldn't have one if I could afford to, or two. Just isn't my style of shooting. However, I've got no problem with anybody else who can do all the above legally. If it doesn't at least go bang-bang-bang with one pull of the trigger, it isn't an assault weapon.

Now, what is commonly and ignorantly called an assault weapon is another thing. I do have a couple of modern sporting rifles (well actually all I have is a couple of AR lowers) and several Ruger 10/22s with those "high-capacity" 9 or 10 rd magazines.

Not trying to give a history lesson just make a point. Anything could be an assault weapon if you assault someone with it.
I get tired of lies and misinformation in the media. Anyone that wants to spend alot of money, has not been convicted of a felony and gets the federal TAX stamp can have the privilege of wasting alot of ammo in a short period of time. More power to them.

If you check history, Mr. Kalashnikov called his famous rifle a homeland defense weapon, which is what he originally designed it for. Today with our wonderfully honest news media it has become the embodiment of evil. For some reason they refuse to acknowledge that it is the person and not the instrument that is the evil part.
