Typical political-speak . They actually cut the projected increase in debt (aka the deficit) by 3T over 10 years. This is similar to "tax cuts" where they only raise taxes by 2% instead of a projected 4%. In fact, the debt is rising each year and there is no projection of a time when it will stop rising (balanced budget).
