So this is kinda interesting.
2012 total votes: 65,915,795 (Obama) + 60,933,50 (Romney) = 126,846,299
2016 total votes (current NYT reporting): 59,042,671 (Trump) + 59,181,266 (HRC) = 118,223,937
Roughly 8M fewer votes.
That seems meaningful.
Millennials and minorities didn't show up. Turnout was even higher in 2008 69.4M-Obama, 59.9M-McCain. I also think people stayed home, thinking Clinton had it sealed up.

I think it's more likely they stayed home because they couldn't stomach voting for her.
That is interesting. On TV they kept talking about historic turn out levels... That seems to have been a lie.So this is kinda interesting.

I am feeling a bit rough from the amount of single barrel whiskey I drank last night.
What is lifting my spirits is not having to go on a 2nd amendment spending spree
I guess this post has no real substance to the thread..... and should just go in the status update.... but f it.
Trump won without traditional Republican support, with a mix of new (or at least hadn't voted in awhile) and crossover voters.
I also so on Drudge yesterday that ICE was arresting quite a few illegals that were in line to vote... which I thought was funny.Consider the possibility that a few of those votes not cast this time were because the busses of dead people didn't make it to the polls
I stayed up until around 4AM. I have to admit I'm kinda tired.
Bourbon laced coffee here, stimulant and depressant mixture, I'm probably gonna have to take a nap soon!Same. I'm running on adrenaline I think.
Democrats for Trump! Also, it wasn't just "white people" like the lame stream media was blathering on about.
Rural America voted in much higher numbers than in the past several elections. I think that's why we saw so many wins for Republicans down ballot. Polls didn't anticipate that. All I can say is, Buh bye Bayh. That is interesting. On TV they kept talking about historic turn out levels... That seems to have been a lie.

One good thing I can see is there will be a push to curtail executive powers. A whole lot of people are going to remember that Congress is supposed to make the laws.
haha
No problem from me. I'm hoping AR lowers drop down to pre-primary values.
