she;s an adult SAm, I don't have to like it, but I can't interfere with it.
the cop is officially divorced so that isn't an issue anymore. that was the biggest issue with the whole problems before

short version, they dated for two years while he promised to divorce his wife. He filed and she refused to sign, he never pushed. He left her because the wife wanted it in the divorce decree that their kids not be around Sara at all.
The divorce has been final since December, but it took a few months even after he left Sara.

Having stuck my head into the middle of a situation similar in a younger time I see those things never ever go well. Maybe a fresh start will work for them.

Oh boy.
I am 9 years senior to my wife and it still causes issues with us. Nothing serious just a way people view the world at certain ages.
I have a friend that is 15 years senior to his spouse and they do very well.
