Back from getting my blood drawn and a great breakfast with an old friend.

The draw isn't a big deal. They are a quick in and out. But, the breakfast was the high point of the morning.

Just rolled in from doing the days errands. Off to the shop for another coat of Tung oil on the rifle stock I am re-doing and putting some love on a 1911

I should have taken a before pic but I did not. It was done in an ugly blond color with droopy clear coat that was never sanded. Got the gun from a friend who fancied himself a wood worker. Great friend, not so great on the re-finish work.
Sent the barrel out to AllenM for ceracoating. Got it back yesterday.

Side note: bunch of 22 in classifieds for 50 per, still no takers. Looks like its coming back down FINALLY!

I just hope a lot of flippers get stuck with a lot of ammo

I saw that. Had to giggle. He stops by here on occasion. If I had some ammo to spare I would not sell it.....it would be donated to a youth group or the boy scouts. The $150 to me is nothing to getting youth involved safely in our passion. We can not let the flame go out.

^This guy has the right idea. Wish I was noble enough to give some, but not enough in the stash for that YET.
