wouldn't even be in the same store if I tried to move up. I am sure it would be all second shift and weekends. our AM works 3 of 4 weekends. I will take the classes, just not going to push for a promotion

Assistant managers usually fill shifts that are open due to no shows etc.
Good friend thought he had hit the jackpot with a managers (assistant) position at a gas and go. He was run ragged from no show's and did not last very long.
Not saying that is how the work it at your store Mrs.G just what I have seen.
