I didn't grow up with cable either. I've had it a few times during my adult life, but life is better without it.

I can remember black and white tv with 3 channels and the played the national anthem at the end of programming for the day.
I also remember when cable was first available.

yep, I've got not cable, no netflix, just a 1990's era tv and a digital converter box... I'd rather watch these old shows anyway, at least I can let my kids watch them and not worry about the crap language they use on tv anymore!
Hey Frosty , have you heard of Rabbit TV? I got it down here in indiana it's the best for watching great old time TV shows, plus it has like 5000 free movies!

Hell I've never had it, mom and dad got it about 5 years ago, so me and the wife will go over and watch Alaska state troopers with mom. We get seasons of shows we've heard are good at the library, of course we have bought all the seasons of duck dynasty!

That's why I love Netflix. I can watch lots of seasons of TV shows for $8 a month.

I remember we had the first color TV in the neighborhood, first microwave too! I remember watching the first man step on the moon! And being disappointed that a monster didn't come out and eat him!!

Oh yeah? Well I don't remember any of that stuff!
My dad would always tell me about how they didn't have electricity until he was 8, then they got a tv and the neighbors would come over on the weekends and play cards and watch tv for hours. Oh yeah, no indoor plumbing either!

maybe that's the one I remember. late 60'2 early 70's Saturday night

big bowl of popcorn, Mom went to bed early and Dad would turn all the lights off. He did this now and then so he could sleep in on Sunday, well so we would sleep in and he could sleep in

The show would start with a wooden coffin opening up real slow , creaking!
