    I can see why you'd think that, but it's actually virtually silent.
    Virtually it's silent - in reality it's non-existent!

    I thought about suppressing my AR-15 but 5.56 doesn't do well with suppression as I understand it and then I'd be pretty much forced to run 5.56 - no .223 as I understand it.

    This is why I was looking at 300BLK.

    I think at tax time its time to suppress an EBR....


    But yes its loud and and a great way to clear the range at ITP.... I ran it down there once and everybody left because of the fireballs and noise.

    5.56 suppresses just fine.

    The bullet still cracks, but it's a whole lot quieter than unsuppressed.
