My Dad used to be able to tell the age of a horse by looking at the teeth. I don't know how that worked.

My Dad used to be able to tell the age of a horse by looking at the teeth. I don't know how that worked.

The shape of the teeth changes with age. That's where the old saying "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth" comes from actually. If someone just gives you a horse, don't check it's teeth to see how old it is. It's free, just accept it.
