We need to invest in a space heater this year, although the fireplace does help a lot too! That's one thing I miss about apartment living. Our gas bill only went up about 5-10 bucks in the winter months.

We lived in a hellhole duplex for a few years. I don't know that it even had insulation. The furnace was so old that it was rusting. Every once in a while a piece of rust would fall and knock out the pilot light. We'd have to go down into the basement once a day to relight it. God, that place was awful
