Lucky DOG!!!! I have seen them in magizines, but never seen a real one. What was the recoil like with .357 loads??

the recoil is not bad. it is LOUD and spits a big FIREBALL! the grips are HUGE!!!! it recoils harder than a standard 1911 but it is manageable. it does come with springs so you can shoot .38's out of it.

from when they got it to when they shipped it was 2 business weeks. I drug my feet sending it because of vacation then they shipped it back to be while I was on vacation so lost a week there.

That's really not too bad. Can't complain about that turnaround at all.

I am now testing Vortex Optics lifetime warranty. Called them this morning and sent them back a scope today.

It broke during the Appleseed last weekend.:(

Bummer. Let me know how it goes. I have a lot of vortex glass.

The Appleseed was hosted by Alan at A&A Optics. He looked at it Sunday and said the scope was toast.:(

He said their turn around is 10 days, and the Rick I spoke to at Vortex said the same. We will see? According to the post office, the scope will be at Vortex Thursday.

I didn't drop it or anything. It was about 95 and the sun had been beating down on the rifle and scope all day. I had to cover the stock of the rifle between shoots or it got too danged hot to handle.
I picked the rifle up at around 3:15 to shoot and the crosshairs were tilted right about 30 degrees. Never could adjust it back to zero after that, wasted all Sunday morning trying to get it back before giving up and grabbing my AR.
